Never a problem with any my saws, all start and run when they should, never flood. I won't buy any other.
1. Stihl 025 18"
2. Stihl MS250 18" and 14" (this with 14' runs like a raped ape)
3. Stihl MS391 25" for big work

I have always owned Stihl saws. I've worked for tree care companies and urban forestry departments that use Husqvarna saws, which are just as capable and reliable. I'd say it's a matter of feel and preference.

This is my rebuilt 044 mag. 71 cc displacement. There isn't much it can't do with a 24" or 28" bar on it. But it is not light. I also use my topper from my climbing days, which is a 200T, 35cc, with a 14" bar. It is an excellent little (non wilderness obviously) backcountry saw but you will encounter wood too big for it.

I have a Stihl 460 magnum. I kept it even though I don’t burn wood anymore. It’s a little much for just the occasional use, but it’s got the power for anything I need. You can’t go wrong with a Stihl!
