So the last 10 or so years we’ve all been seeing a lot of fires. Well, my main bait station got torched this past fall. The whole ridge is gone except the very end face that sits above the crick bottom.
The primary area the bears normally came from is burnt a bit, but still a lot of Timber there but the ridge they came up is gone. If I move out to the very end it looked like I still have 40 or so acres of good solid timber but it’s nothing like it was.
What’s your experience been with baits in or near burn areas the following spring? Fire was giant, some areas mooned so a lot of cover gone. Stinks as I had some giants coming in last year, got one of them.
