Trigger, doe was alone. I was in the middle of nowhere about 1/2 mile from the Canada line and decided to grill a steak on the prairie. While waiting on the steak I thought I saw a couple lopes. Obviously it was a doe and yote. They were about 30 yards apart, but ended up on top of each other checking me out. Coyote never moved, so thought it might be on a kill. I turned off the grill and walked over. Nothing found.
Still have not seen my first pronghorn fawn, but numbers are still way down. I did bump into this notch-eared doe yesterday.
I was south of Gildford a few miles this weekend, and saw a few does and fawns there. Fawns looked pretty small, so I'd say they've dropped recently...
saw my first ant fawns last Saturday in SD. Been seeing more now in eastern mt. I haven't seen any deer fawns yet but seeing alot of deer out feeding at all hours of the day.
