Yesterday I take my buddy to my Whitetail spot for him to fill his Doe tag. We see several deer and all but two were bucks! I know I'm new to whitetails, but dang the doe's are super wary and the bucks just stand around looking at you. Do they rut earlier than muleys? cause they sure were acting dumb, or maybe they just knew we only had a doe tag. Hmmmm

A mature whitetail doe is just as smart if not smarter than a mature buck. If you can fool her you have done something especially if she is being harassed by one buck after another. They should start chasing in about a week and then they will really loose their mind but the weather where I am right now will determine that. Those deer are not gonna move for a week around these parts.....

I have never seen a buck as smart as most does out there...even the big bucks. This goes for any time of the year and not just the rut. Does have saved the life of more than one big buck :D
