Ready to pull out first thing in the morning for my elk hunt in Wyoming.Tired from packing all day. Hope I am up to the drive. Nearly 1700 miles.Think we will split it into 3 day trip ,hate driving at night pulling my trailer.With the fall color,northern Michigan ,Wisconsin and Minnesota should all be great.

Good luck and be careful. Im headed to South Dakota for pheasant next week and then on to Wyoming for elk.
I've been following all your thoughts & questions throughout the course of this year, hop it all comes together for! Get elevation & glass for those cows, you will eventually find them on the move somewhere! I love south & south east slopes come fall hunts when cold weather hits other wise north & northwest slopes if temps are warm! Of course elk can be anywhere so keep your head on a swivel & trust glassing their whereabouts instead of busting brush & timber in hopes of getting your shot, very low odds there for the inexperienced unless you see elk enter & not come out of certain spots!
