So i get a late cow tag so if i dont have a full freezer i can top it off at end of season. With 2 full freezers i figured i would atleast get out for day or 2 and soak in some cool winds and see of i could find some close enough to make a stalk/packout worth it. With little snow i thought about where they will be and sure enough they were, followed herd(300ish) for 2 days got within 600 yards but never dropped low enough to spark my interest. Keep in mind the land between us is way nastier than it looks and slippy as hell. Did see couple bachelor groups with some nice bulls and 1 monster muley, but mainly was nice just to get out and get winded once last time for year. Gonna eat that tag and swap focus to ice fishing and ducks! Sorry for low quality cell pics.
