I had a couple greenwing teal that needed to be cooked but it was pouring rain so I had to twist Hank's recipe a bit here for grilling.
I spatchcoked the birds....yes, whenever you spatchcock a bird it's like being a crossfitter, vegan or creedmoor shooter, you must tell everyone.
Roasted them at 525 for 10 minutes and scarfed them down like I just ended a hunger strike....also known as Tuesday night dinner.
With a pan full of fat drippings from the birds, I did the sensible thing and then pan roasted pronghorn tenderloin in it. It was most delicious.
So, if you have some fat little birds try and give this one a shot.

Grilled Teal Recipe - How to Grill Teal Ducks | Hank Shaw
Grilled teal is a September favorite. Early teal seasons are happening, and the little ducks are great grilled with a zippy marinade.
