It's officially spring! The elk just showed up on the hill above the house - two weeks early.

At my house, it's Spring when the elk leave and quit messing up my yard. mtmuley

It looks like we are at the opposite ends of the migration cycle.

I'm not sure to congratulate you for good fortune or sympathy for having to put up with them.

I get them from calving to just before the rut(~3 months). Would likely be more if I didn't put the hay in the barn. They are fun to watch until they start to stir my windrows or unbale my bales. Then the entertainment factor is diminished.

That really neat having them around I drive up to see our Pa heard every yr just love seeing them and maybe one year my name gets pulled out of the hat and I get one of the golden tickets

We have resident herds on the Valley floor where I live these days. Product of the wolf population. mtmuley
