Hey there, I am a life long Southern Californian (Inland Empire) who has always been interested in hunting, but just now starting to learn in my mid 40's. Basically trying to teach myself as I do not have any friends or family who are hunters. From what I have learned so far I am in a pretty tough area to hunt especially if you are just trying to learn. Any information, advice, or connections greatly appreciated.

Buy a pair of waders, a shotgun, lic, fed and state duck stamp, put a plug in the shotgun, get some steel shot and a dozen teal and spoonbill decoys and head over to San jacinto wildlife area on a sat or Wednesday and sweat line it. Ask for tom he will set you up. Think you need a day pass also now.

Plenty of quail and dove in the upland season in the local mountains.

Deer can be found in d-11-16, just gotta look hard and put the time in.

Welcome good luck.

Welcome. Follow DoubleClucks advise. I'll add coyotes and cottontails in the desert. From inland empire, I would check out D-14 for deer
