Been debating a 45-70 lever gun or a SBS for tossing in the ATV/raft/truck. Finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase a SBS.
The majority of my trips pertain to Alaska and SW MT where It could come in handy for 2 legged, 4 legged and the occasional grouse.
I’ve been eyeing the Mossberg 590 Shockwave Mariner and slapping a stock on it or purchasing Mossberg’s new Professional series 6 shot.
My only criteria is something with a durable finish to endure the elements in the field. ATF wait times are looking short, which is a big plus.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
