A few people asked me to report back on my remington AWR accuracy. I bought a 300 RUM a couple weeks ago but haven’t had time to shoot it. Got back from a week of working in Texas and was itching to get out and do some shooting. Had some 181 grain Hammer Hunters show up on the porch Friday afternoon so I threw a couple together to find pressure along with some 210 grain Bergers. Conditions here have been pretty rough with rain and snow and 20mph winds but I wasn’t staying in the house.

Here is the 5th,6th,7th round with the Hammer Hunters.

Here is 4th,5th, and 6th round with the berger. With some better conditions she’s really going to tighten up. Extremely impressed with the Remington AWR. First factory Remington I won’t have to change the trigger out on

Nice. That AWR is a sweet rifle. Be interesting to compare those two bullets when you get some velocities together. mtmuley

Not much to dislike about that. You drop it in the Game Scout that was on the 700 you were selling? Compatible barrel channels?

Absolutely beautiful morning to shoot. Couldn’t have asked for better conditions. No wind “which is rare in eastern Montana” and 37 degrees. I apparently was really on my game today for shooting so dont ask me to duplicate my results. Did a little chronographing of the 181 hammer and 210 berger. 181 was going slower than I expected at only 3240fps. The 210 berger was going 3060fps which is almost identical to the other 4 rums I’ve been around with that powder charge. I’m probably going to stick with my 210 grain berger load for now
