Does anyone have some advice for a first time grouse hunter in north Idaho (Coeur d'Alene area)? I have zero experience. I've seen tons of forest grouse while driving forest service roads in the area and thought that I could take my Dad with me when he comes to visit in late November. I have a 12 gauge pump action Remington. Is that too much gun for a grouse? Any tips you have to offer so that I can start learning now and be prepared for late November would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
