New hunter in Colorado

Hey everyone! Hope you are having a good start to your week. I am a brand new hunter (39) and am excited to learn more. I've been getting a lot of great advice from here. So thank you all. All the YouTube videos have been a great help at well. I think I have most of the gear I need. My cousin (first time, 30) is going with me. We are hunting 1st rifle bull elk and bear in grand mesa area (unit 41). And picked up a mule deer and cow elk tag for second season rile in unit 12. Meat hunters.

Thank, Oh, I'm finding out. I'm in it for the quality meat, hiking, anticipation. The anticipation is the hardest part. Cant wait.
