According too the Powder River Examiner the bridge crossing the powder river near Moorehead is closed and will not likely be reopened in the coming months. One of the support columns is sinking and causing the bridge to sag. Engineers have determined that the bridge is structurally unsound and there for needs to be closed to all vehicle traffic.
This will greatly effect access to the public land near Moorhead. Access will not cut off to any public land but the access maybe much less convenient as the next closest river crossing is 40 miles away on Highway 212. Lots of hunters plan to hunt the Powder River south of Broadus. If you are one of them you may need to plan ahead for this closure.
