Howdy ya'll, new member, long time lurker and follower of Mr. Newberg since 2010. I started small game hunting at 10 and was hooked immediately. By 14 I was chasing whitetails in East TN furthering my addiction, I couldn't learn enough so I began reading watching shows and being a general P.I.A. to anyone that would answer a hunting question. Then at age 17 I was introduced to trapping just when I thought I knew it all lol. Well needless to say foreword 27 years hence my introduction. ......I'm still trying to learn.
I retired EOD Tech, K-9 handler and police officer. Now I have returned diesel mechanic and welding a lot more peaceful no bullets. I was fortunate enough to marry my true soul mate 2nd time around and have a hunting trapping fishing partner for as long as the good Lord allows me to roam this earth. I am blessed with a awesome son from the 1st marriage and been introducing him to trapping hunting fishing and outdoors since he was 2 (carried him in a backpack).
Heres a quote from him age 3 on a scouting trip...(he had been tracking a deer in the snow for 30 minutes) "Dadda you catch that deer by the ear and I will knock his brain out" After I recovered from laughing I knew he was hooked for life. I ain't perfect but am honest what you see is what you get. I hunt for meat not horns, I love God my family and guns.
