Oh, I consider that a "usual" precaution. Just recently someone posted on a forum here about a great ammo site. You post a wanted ad, somebody hacks a member or creates a new profile and just happens to have what you're looking for. If you don't do your homework, they will take your money.
The obvious scammers are the ammo sites that have everything at pre-COVID prices, and only accept Bitcoin.
