Hornady ELD blowup.

Fellow on another forum found this near the 200 yard mark while walking back from targets set up at a longer distance.
Thought i'd share.

Just the tips found, no information about the shooter, gun, or any loading or barrel twist rate.

That doesn't look like an ELD bullet. mtmuley
Only bullet like that, that i've ever heard of having blowup issues before hitting the target.
Still looking for the Youtube video showing it happening with a 162gr out of a 7mm Rem Mag.

The ELD tips aren't that color. mtmuley

I doubt a 7mm Remington can push any 160 grain bullet fast enough to make it "blow up". mtmuley
 
I have a very difficult time believing that bullet was fired, but perhaps it’s possible.

Hornady isn’t the only company that has had bullets blow up before reach ring the target, but they don’t look like that. They disintegrate into a puff of smoke.
