Hello to all, my name is Jeff. I've been a lifelong Whitetail hunter, looking to expand that to Black Bear and possibly Pronghorn. I've lurked around here a bit and like what I see, lots of good information and some good love for the 7mm-08 which I have recently purchased. Hunted with a 30-06 for many years and decided to change it up, I have since hunted with and taken deer with .357 magnums, 44 magnum, and 30-30. I had decided to limit my hunting to close range but hunted a place this past season where a 250 yard shot was highly possible and decided to look for a gentle recoiling rifle for longer range possibilities and settled on the 7mm-08.
That was a little winded, I apologize for that but wanted to give a little background information before making my first post.
