Budget ~$75

No power tools

Probably only willing to put a couple hours into the project.

Don't really care what it looks like just don't want a unplanned sun roof.

Temp and humidity are huge factors in painting.

Prep is the key and will (should) take the longest amount of time during the process.
I would look into wet sanding. Start with low grit and work towards higher. Wash it off then wipe with acetone.
Tape up the windshield more than you think is needed.
There is probably a can of spray paint somewhere local that is pretty close to color

Windless day, liberal wide masking tape around the edges. hand sanding block and 150 grit to get the chips and flakes off. Wash with acetone. 1 coat adhesion promoter. 3-4 light coats of krylon.

I’d guess $100 and 3-4 hours, so I’m over budget on both...

Is the roof rack easily removed?
I wonder what one of those wrapping places would charge to slap a piece of gloss black on there?
seems like it would be a quick job.

It was when I put it on in 2006... not so sure anymore.

Yeah I considered taking it to get painted or whatever professionally, but like I said keep as possible.
