Getting shapefiles on a Garmin

I have the blm surface ownership shapefiles and would like to put them on a garmin. I heard there is a free program that will convert them to a garmin file, anyone have any insight.

There may be others but I use DNRGarmin to put shapefiles on my GPS. It's a free program issued by the Minnesota DNR. You'll have to make sure the program is setup with the same coordinate system as the shapefile for it to display properly.
