garmin hunting map chip question

i have a garmin 60csx that i cannot find the unlock code for. it has mapsource on it right now. my question is do i need this code if i purchase the chip that shows land boundaries (public land)? i read on the garmin site that its a "plug in and go" procedure. im trying to avoid having to buy another gps since i cannot find my disk with the unlock code.

You might try Garmin's website for the unlock code. You could also call them and they are nice to work with. At least in my experience.

i know used to need to it to unlock different maps with map source. all i use the thing for his hunting anyway. if all i have to do is just plug the chip in and go, bypassing an unlock code, i'm fine with it.
