Back in college, I remember my brother doing a week long lobbying effort for Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America in DC over spring break for Veteran issues (he is a veteran and was a college student in political science)
I wonder if that same idea could (or already has- if so sorry) be copied for the conservation world. Get a group of college students who are in wildlife & management degrees from throughout the country to meet in DC over spring break or a week during the summer. I think the lobbying effort could make an impact and getting college students that expirience- who would then go back to their college campuses excited and enthused, could be really beneficial for the conservation effort.
Obviously there would have to be some money behind it to cover airfare and housing.
Just throwing ideas out- I think if I were a college student I would be interested in something like this.
