Elk on OnX ?

Does this look like elk to y’all? I wasn’t looking for elk but this sure does look like some. I’ve see cattle on OnX but these look a little different. Thoughts? BTW, I’m not basing my hunt off of this. Just thought it was interesting.

Cattle would be my guess, you can see the rump patch on elk.

Very true. For the first couple days elk hunting each year I see more elk, bears and other game than just about anyone else I hunt with….then reality sets in and my mind stops playing games it’s me on about day 3.

It’s amazing how many stumps look like cow elk staring at me

That is interesting. I use On X alot. I would think they are cattle but elk are just as big... could be.

I have seen sat. photos with elk & cattle in them,antelope herds.
Don't know about onx pics ,I just use the GPS.

i myself have definately seen elk on google earth more than a few times ,but its hard unless you see the shadow of a rack to define it from a cow,,but yes,it does happen once in a while,,i think google earth is a little bit clearer than the on x sat pics when it gets down to the fine details

I’ve seen elk, bear, whales and elephants while perusing aerial
imagery just for fun. On your photo, there is no way to be sure. Cattle… elk…. propane tank…..
