DVD Player for the car

Does anyone have one of these? I saw one in Sam's for $388 that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It would be a great addition to the camper and for trips. I am looking for anyone who may have used these before to get some feedback.

Hey Elkhunter,

My wife bought me a sony discman that has a cassette tape that pops into the deck in the truck. The cd then plays thru the truck speakers and has all the normal controls!

I think it was only around a hundred $ with
a case....thats what she said anyway

I have that same thing JB.
This one is for watching DVD movies. i have a nice little collection of movies that I could watch when we go camping. It would have been great to watch a few movies when I was in elk camp for a week by myself.

DUH.....Sorry. I got side tracked

We just bought my 1 year old a tv/vcr combo.
it was under $200 about 160 I think at best buy. The plan is to get a dvd player to go under the back seat of the burban...yes as in sub_____. A converter to 120 is 30 in crutchfield and it is connected to the av inputs....
I guess it still cost 350 though?
But you can watch either vhs or dvd then!

I just had a customer who had one professionally installed.
little tv screen in the front seat headrests.
He said they cost at least 150 each and the 3rd one plugged into the stereo was more like 350...I think thats just the monitor!
