Diagnose my rifle

Boss was having similar issues with a 30 06 and it took me a long time to get him to give me the gun to look at it. The barrel was hitting the stock pretty bad. So much so it wore the bluing off where it was hitting. I sanded the barrel channel and shimmer the action a tiny bit. Had it shooting moa in one range session. It wasn't a bedding job but it worked.
