I decided to take a couple hounds out for some exercise this morning and had a great time.It was a little chilly, about zero when we started. We cut some tracks going up onto a big round top and no tracks coming out.Decided one dog was enough to get things started and it took a little longer than expected. He had to sort the coyote tracks out of all the deer tracks and it took him some time to do it.Eventually we could hear him running hot!The coyote was on his feet.We dumped in two more hounds, one being my year old pup and they really started making some music.

Congrats!!

Hard to enough real estate to run coyote dogs in a lot of parts of PA without pissing off the neighbors. Some guys around here get permission on 50 acres and run the dogs on 1000 and wonder why the game warden is always showing up...

That's awesome, way to go.
I would love to tag along on a coyote hunt using "coursing" dogs like greyhounds or the like, those dogs are amazingly fast
