Colorado Bend SP Texas

After many years of applying my wife and I drew our first Texas draw hunt. Just curious if anyone has hunted/been to Colorado Bend SP?

Looks like a beautiful place, just curious what we are getting into and how the compartment hunting works. December hunt dates, so should be cooler I hope.

No experience with that specific SP, but compartments are usually assigned to hunters based on a draw, once it's determined how many people show up for the actual hunt. I've also seen orientation for hunts where all the permit-holders don't show and the onsite hunters were then assigned multiple compartments, or told they could request a different compartment the following day if they hadn't seen any animals.
