Anyone hunting the Clearwater Country in Idaho may want to look things over here closely. There well may not be an archery season due to fires. At this time, the woods are closed, and much has burned.

There are fires from Canada to the Salmon River. I live in the Clearwater Complex area.

Seems half this state has burned in last 6 years, including my 3 primary deer areas. 30 years from now, when I'm pushing 80, there's gonna be some good hunting.

Hem, better make it some other time. Smoke everywhere, and the back country is on fire also. Chances are good you won't get to where you want to go, and probably shouldn't be there anyway. All potlatch ground, 100% of it, is closed to everyone except employees and contractors, and fire crews. They have asked that you stay off USFS ground, but at this time fed land is not closed.
