Bots and Colorado tag reissue list

Wyoming does put all the (returned for good cause) deer pronghorn and elk licenses in the leftover list they just show up randomly. I tried to get them to put them in some kind of a weekly draw to get past the bots and make it where everyone that didn't work at a computer all day had an equal shot at them but so far they tell me its just going to be a free for all. The first two years there were 1600 licenses returned.

West River, I believe Wyoming does this the right way. The randomness gives nobody an advantage. I'm glad they don't do it like Colorado.

NR tags that get turned back in shouldn't be a random release.

The tags should go to the next NR in line with preference points and their points should be torched for receiving the tag. IN EVERY STATE THAT HAS PREFRENCE POINTS.

People SHOULD be rewarded for waiting their turn in line for decades.

Wish Alaska would go back to in person and only at the local field office.

The bots are infuriating. Missed out on a timber company lease to them, snatched from my cart in milliseconds. A nationwide ban on them would be nice, but I won’t hold my breath.

Same here, got tags 3 times in the past, but none since 2022. Tried hard last year with no luck, and this year is looking similar, something has changed.

Last three tags I got from CO were from the leftover list. When my son still lived there, he got one for me by standing at a license vendor's counter until they went on sale, and snagged it no problem, in and out in 3 minutes. Those tags were all gone in the first 10 minutes, if you could even get in the que. While I hate the process and have failed most years to take advantage of it, I'm grateful its an option for those of us who can't or don't want to conduct PhD level research required to navigate all the draws, not to mention the cumulative time required to earn preference points (that may or may not be worth anything).

It's become completely untenable for the average person, especially when folks who work in the field can barely figure it out. The idea that anyone could use a bot to snipe a tag infuriates me tbh and makes me think about all the time I spent applying or preparing for the chance to sit and watch the little man walk across the moving sidewalk for hours...
