Bill to allow action on federal land?

Lots of time, money and effort being spent at the local levels on this sort of stuff lately. Idaho has passed several bills this session outlining how they will manage the current federal lands when they get control of them. Of course selling them is very slyly not mentioned, but not ruled out either.

It is unclear as to which federal lands the article references because that is not really the point. The point is to make "big gubmit" look bad and the state government look friendly and helpful. Don't worry about the fact that State Lands Departments in the west only grudgingly allow recreational activities on the land they manage. Openly say that the land they manage is not "public land". Generally allow the lease holders to dictate what type, if any type, of recreational access is allowed. Don't worry about those small details as a sportsman utilizing the federal public land in the west. If the states get control they would never put the screws to you for money...

Sorry for the rant.
