Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

I bought 2 shares of Bank of America stock earlier this year at $35 a share just because I had $70 left after buying some other stock. BAC is up 33% in that small time. I wish now I would have bought a lot more.
The story of my day/swing trading hobby fun.

Even more-so the example of one time tooting my horn on Hunt Talk several years ago about holding 200 shares of NVDA and enjoying the $1100 made at a $5.00 increase per share flipping that buy/sell.

Had I held those... I'd have over a million bucks right now. from that simple $3,600 day/swing trade. UGH! Haha! Anyone have a crystal ball? Mine is a garage sale bowling ball. Sometimes I think a coin flip would have better odds - other times, I think I am an awesome hobby trader. :ROFLMAO:

Dang, that's a heart breaker. I've made some on NVDA but nowhere that much. I think the right thing to do is put a modest amount on several up and comers and then just leave it in hopes that one shoots for the stars.

I think SD PGoat is describing risk management. Triming is easier after a split.
Yea, I'm aware. But I just about completely disagree with this. It's almost always a non-issue. Like I said, I just don't understand people and splits.

If it makes you feel better I'll tell you about the $11K I made by selling Apple. In 2009.

In 2105 I bought a Tesla Model S. Sold it in 2021 with ~70k miles for about $40k. Had I put the initial purchase price towards Tesla stock instead of their car, it would have been worth over $2M when I sold the car. No regrets though.

Money for nothing and the chicks for free...

And then there's Gronk...

“Obviously this just fits along the lines of just me being myself; I’m going to put $69,000 into Apple stock,” Gronkowski says. “So I call up my financial advisor. I’m like, ‘Put $69,000 in Apple.’ My own money, with no advice like this, is just from the guy who built my house here in the New England area.”

“Now to this day, I have over $600,000 in Apple stock, all because of the investment I made in 2014 having no idea what I was doing, but just listening to the guy that built my house here in New England,” Gronkowski says.

My FA buddy at the gym hates stories like this.
