Any final tips for first time Elk Hunter

In about a month I'll be heading out to CO unit 14 for a DIY elk hunt. I have not hunted elk before, most of the knowledge I have is from books and talkling to people. Looking for a few final tips.

I am doing 2nd rifle in 14 with my brother. How 'bout you chase 'em my way and I'll chase 'em yours.

I have never hunted out of WI, so I have mainly hunted deer (bow & gun), waterfowl, and pheasant. We will be staying in a wall tent with a woodstove.
