Does anyone hunt with a 375win lever gun? I'd love to hear some first hand tales of its effectiveness.

I think it'd be a cool gun for just about everything (animal wise). Long range? No, seems it runs completely out of steam at 300yds, but honestly to me 300yds is pretty damn far.

Any opinions? Info?....Lets hear it.

Yup is a heavy boolit and is going to drop like a lead sled after it gets out there. But guessing 200-250 will be able to put the stop on a bunch of critters.

I have hunted with one on and off for several years. It will definetly do the job on deer size animals. It is plenty for black bear, tho I have no experience there, just the word of others. If you reload brass with the 375 headstamp is not impossible to find (thanks to help from many on this site)but it is expenxsive. Much easier to fireform new or at least newer
30-30 brass.
You will also be limited on bullets if you reload. Overall it is a fun gun to shoot and recoil is mild imo. Found mine to be quite accurate also.
