Anybody got QuickLoad and wouldn't mind running some data for me? I'm considering what I might do with my 30-06AI with the components I have on hand. One I was considering is RL23. I'd be using 165gn Accubonds or Federal TBTs, or 180gn Accubonds or Partitions. Help a brother out?

H4350 is a good powder for 180g class. I ran N555 with great results. RL23 was pretty slow in the testing I did.

Yeah, but I ain't got none of that.

So far I've only tested 165gn Accubonds with H4831, which seems like is going to be pretty good, but I have some RL23 and it's just so hard to find any data for it. Seems to do good things in the little sister (280AI) with heavier bullets so I'm considering giving it a try, with the understanding it's going to be on the slower end for an -06. I've heard of people using RL26, so I figure, well maybe.

This was with my Sherman, H4350 was over 3k without Pressure signs. N555 got to 3050, RL26 wasn’t good till I got to a 200g bullet.

Yours will be 1-2 grains less powder but the powder fps gains will be close.

Not to side track, but are you just doing a one round test to find the velocity nodes, then ladder testing from there?

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Sort of, find a node then shoot a group of three at the chosen node. If velocity, ES,SD are good then seating depth groups of 3 at 100 yards. Final tuning is groups of 5 at distance, 200 yard min.

My first pass on QL with .30-'06AI with 165 AB says you are gonna run out of case capacity before it gets interesting.
Same with the 180 AB

I got EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING results with RL-23 in an ‘06AI and 190s. Too bulky. I couldn’t get enough in the case. Results with N-560 were okay. Got 2975fps with 190s from a 24” barrel using IMR-4350. N550 or RL-19 should beat that. RL-22 and 4831 might. My bullets were WS2 coated.
