Another great day in the woods with my little girl. It was a great day even before we belly crawled 400 yards into a big herd. Got even better when little deadeye anchored this super cool bull in his bed.

Looks to have 3 distinct pedicles...but I guess I'll know more when I get the head skinned out. Was a big old jumbo body bull and I found a mangled lung and a year old arrow inside. Tough old bugger...or at least he was before he met Pickle!

Might have to drudge up the old "Frankenbull" thread and see how thus G1 stacks up.

Sounds like a blast! Grats to your young lady and props to Pops! Must have been an interesting find to come across an arrow inside! How long of a shaft or was it the head alone?

Awesome! I had a guy in a camp we shared for a hunt pass on a similar bull elk as he wanted a big 6x6. He had second thoughts that evening after dark and the bull had moved on by first light never to be seen again.

Congratulations to the young hunter and Dad. That is a beautiful bull and beautiful country over there. Enjoy your trophy and some great eating. What caliber did she shoot it with?
