    Went out opening day and the trail I was using ended up being a fire line which has now been reclaimed. A lot of fun to walk that thing! Didn't see much and left when the rain hit, but the area looks good other than the detours necessary to get around that reclaimed fire line

    You're probably right, I agree they should still be able to find good nutrition. And it will probably be a lot different this year than when I had the tag in 2015, the key is just getting out there hunting for them and I am looking forward to it.

    Thanks for the good news! Probably most of the moisture was from last weekend but at this point I will take all we can get. I know the Blackfoot and Nevada Creek are very low. Hopefully it doesn't get too hot up there to dry things out

    I drew the same permit this year, also had it in 2015. Settled for a 160 mulie. The unit isn't what it used to be but I think if you spend time there's a few big ones there that appear during the rut. Dutton is worth getting access for, assuming they still do it. Garrison side can be fun too...
