    Women in the outdoors

I just came across this book and am going put in on my read list. What an incredible story about overcoming obstacles that come up in a male dominated world and space that is disproportionally represented by men.

What are your 2026 Outdoor Plans

I am investigating catching fish in the river near me as the ice begins to melt and get washed away. I have heard that this time of year can be very good and the spot I like to go has a lot of other fisherman in the spring and summer. I am hopeful there will be less people in my spot early in...

    Any ice yet?

Wow that is so neat. I had no idea that spearing fish in this fashion was done. I bet those yellow perch taste great. Some of the fish you have there are thick ones.

Ideas for inclusive conservation podcasts - Pattie Gonia

@Big Fin The podcast team should book queer conservationist Pattie Gonia to discuss conservation and outdoor inclusivity topics. Organizations like Audobon Society and many more have incorporated PGs messaging to help increase inclusiveness of outdoor spaces and I believe the public land...

Non-political Make ICE hate make sense to me. Can it be civil?

It is not just skin color. The queer community has been warning about the fascism we are experiencing since the regime took office the first time. This was never about immigration or kids using bathrooms.

Who in the Senate do you trust on public land issues? "Bipartisan Caucus."

Martin Heinrich is one of the most courageous people in Congress. He stands for the American people on so many important issues. His leadership on public land protections is indispensable.

Corner Crossing podcast with Ryan Semerad

It is podcasts like this one that remind me why I enjoy Randy Newberg and the way he interviews guests. It is obvious that Mr. Newberg and people like this attorney are of critical importance for the American public. Great podcast. Thank goodness this court case went to the public.

    Hello from a public lander.

I am a newish member that enjoys public land for many reasons. I was brought to the forum by watching Randy's YouTube videos and podcasts. I am especially encouraged by the prospectives of many of the forums users on both public land policy and world events.

    Feeling Like a White-tailed Year.

I see several nice deer in the area I hunt. It is hard to tell if they will be large antlered. I can never tell with velvet. I think July is the best month to spot early season whitetail bucks casually living their best lives.

Thank you to those supporting the Outdoors for all

I think I used that word in 2 posts because it applied. Do you critique every post or is there something else going on? I made my post with utmost respect and only included organizations or people that have posted support now or in the past. This is not a topic that requires you to post...

Thank you to those supporting the Outdoors for all

Thank you to all those companies and people that have acknowledged Pride especially Pride in the Outdoors this year. TACO has made it part of his bigoted mission to make sure so many marginalized people do not exist. The same people brave enough to acknowledge Pride are the same brave ones...

Public Land Caucus To the Rescue?

Vasquez has been an ally to many worthy causes and I learned about his passion for public land. This guy gets it. No wonder he is Co Founder of this. This caucus is really great for all public land users. It is about time we got something like this!

No Deal with Mike Lee - ALL GAS, NO BRAKES

With lots of other groups too of course. It's an awkward way to say Mike Lee united many unlikely foes into a united cause.

Newest US Senate Land Sale Amendment

The orange bigot not only hates public land but loves Mike Lee. I am certain that those two have some surprise in store to screw over the public. I am sure it will be announced in some hated filled social media post by one or both of them.

No Deal with Mike Lee - ALL GAS, NO BRAKES

Mike Lee brought the LGBT+ and trans community together with typically right lean hunters to help stop this awful transfer of public resources. It would be interesting to see the reaction when he realized the damage he has done to the bigoted views of marginalized communities he holds and...

Who will be at 2025 BHA Rendezvous in Missoula?

I am really excited about it. My friends and I love the chance to get out with like minded out doors humans. I will be interested to see the rucks, awards, and public land celebrations.

    Hunters of Color podcast

I listened to this podcast as part of my Black History Month journey. What a powerful post and podcast. Thank you for bringing attention to this incident and the example it shines a light on. Not only on the systemic and police racism that marginalized communities face but the incredible...

    2024 Sheds

I found this antler in a busy park. I was surprised to find it in such a spot. Deer can live almost anywhere I suppose. A dog or squirrel must have chewed on it before I found it.
