    Do you get tired?

No never get tired of the best part of life. You do need a break every now and then.

Did you shoot your first deer with open sights?

My "hunting" career commenced with an air-rifle, killed many birds with that springer and its irons. Than I advanced to a 12g scuttergun hell I killed everything with that but not deer. I got my first deer with Savage M110 with a 4x Burris. At 290 long paces I could not have done it with...

    Ben Avery Shooting Range

Well done but I think that young man might want to learn to use some modern weapons, maybe something from the 20th Century. LOL :D (y)

    Alabama deer hunt.

Wow, 2500 fps with 300gr bullet that's 375 H&H performance. That's insane. I guess you learn something every day.

Tape at the end of barrel?

In the 80s in the Army they use to issue us with condoms in muddy conditions. Yeah I know, we laughed too but you follow orders. :)

Thanks, I have been to the U.S. twice. If family conditions allow I might go again but I am happy enough here for now. I shoot a lot of tin cans and some ferals too. ;)

That's a lot to write about but here is a snap shot: Plenty of "game" to shoot but they will not let you shoot it. Bird hunting is almost outlawed with only three states maintaining game bird seasons. It looks like they will end game bird hunting (duck and quail) in my state this year (it's...

Warm to hot, middle of summer. Plenty of snakes in the woods and the beach is a better place. Here in Melbourne it's fine, as they say if you don't like the weather wait five minutes. 😂

Strewth mate, I am trying. Fair shake of the stick I've only been here a minute and you already cracked the shits. Just to be straight, I got my budgie smugglers on sitting by the pool sucking on a frothy.:LOL::LOL: Nah, you won't see much of that from me, like to blend in.

HOWA 270 Win Replacement - Ugh!

Sorry to hear that Sir, keep well and keep shooting. BTW the 7mm-08 is a gentle one to shoot. The most overlooked cause of perceived recoil is the LOP (length of pull) in most cases it is a little short and that amplifies the felt recoil. (y)

Is that a single action or double action?

Is this 1967 Browning Superposed a good dove gun?

Love mine. it was always my dream to get a B25 and I finally got one a few years ago. Mine has 28" Full and Improved Modified, was made in 1964. You have good taste. :) BTW of all the shotguns I have checked the choke constriction on, this is the only one that has the correct choke...

    Classic western Lever gun?

Having just got a Winchester M94 in 30-30, I would have to say get the Marlin M336. I find that the forend on the M94 is way too thin and I have trouble holding on to it whilst working the action. With the Marlin it is also easier to disassemble and clean the bore from the rear.

You have good taste sir. Both of these are outstanding pistols and a lot classier than a Buckmark. :)

HOWA 270 Win Replacement - Ugh!

Is that a heavy barrel T3? I do understand your love for the ol' 270 Winchester, it was my first deer rifle (Ruger M77) and I still have a warm spot in my heart for it. Enjoy.
