HOWA 270 Win Replacement - Ugh!
Sorry to hear that Sir, keep well and keep shooting. BTW the 7mm-08 is a gentle one to shoot. The most overlooked cause of perceived recoil is the LOP (length of pull) in most cases it is a little short and that amplifies the felt recoil. (y) -

Love mine. it was always my dream to get a B25 and I finally got one a few years ago. Mine has 28" Full and Improved Modified, was made in 1964. You have good taste. :) BTW of all the shotguns I have checked the choke constriction on, this is the only one that has the correct choke...- MrCarbine

Classic western Lever gun?
Having just got a Winchester M94 in 30-30, I would have to say get the Marlin M336. I find that the forend on the M94 is way too thin and I have trouble holding on to it whilst working the action. With the Marlin it is also easier to disassemble and clean the bore from the rear. -

HOWA 270 Win Replacement - Ugh!
Is that a heavy barrel T3? I do understand your love for the ol' 270 Winchester, it was my first deer rifle (Ruger M77) and I still have a warm spot in my heart for it. Enjoy.
