Well this weekend I learned that my donkey would rather just walk ahead of me than be led. I also learned that if you have to stop to pick your hat off of the ground you better not let go of your horse or you will be walking!! Oh and horses can make it a very long ways in hobbles. Doing some practice runs with rex here, we picked him up a few months ago, not much appears to bother him, i plan to get leather latigos and keep adjusting the saddle, any tips would be appreciated!! Or if you see anything that looks just wrong- Buckskinbob

Not a pack in trip, but I finally got to do some hunting from horseback after a few trips didn't pan out, got one more big hunt planned. Ive realized that a day of riding can beat you up just as badly as a day of walking.- Buckskinbob

I finished it yesterday, it was a great book! I like how they were so focused on keeping your camp as low impact on the land as possible. Takes effort the keep horses from wrecking everything- Buckskinbob
