Satellite communications
I purchased and used the Garmin Inreach Mini 2 last year in Colorado. As mentioned above, easy to connect to phone through Bluetooth and text message using the app. Battery life was good. Plan to use again this September.- DEhunter

Need Truck Wisdom on 09-14 Pickups
Another vote for the Tundra. My 2014 has been a solid truck. As mentioned above, gas mileage is between 13-16 mpg. It replaced a 2010 Chevy Silverado with engine problems that started at 45k miles.- DEhunter

I agree with the favorable comments about the Lowa Renegades. I bought the GTX mids for an early season archery elk hunt in CO and loved them. Continue to wear them on flatland hunts and they have become my favorite boots.- DEhunter
