I got an email yesterday from Kansas Game & Fish notifying that the fall turkey season has been cancelled due to a lack of birds. A spring hunt is planned but Non=residents will have to draw a tag. In the area I use to hunt #1 the predators were getting really thick. Foxes, coyotes, skunks...

Having a hard time with woodpeckers drilling holes in my house siding which is a Drivet (sp) type (stucco over styrofoam). Nothing I have tried seems to faze them... Any ideas ? They are a protected bird so I can't shoot them and I live in a subdivision. Any suggestion will be most appreciated !
Some hunters are reporting unusual numbers of wasp & mice this year. WASP: fill a pan/dish with 3"-4" of water , add a few drops of dish soap and suspend a chuck of meat about a foot or so above this. You will have to empty this and re-supply fairly often as it will fill up with dead wasp. MICE...

I just watched a TV program "Small Town Hunting" with Keith Burgess & Chris Ashly. Keith shot a great whitetail in Iowa at around 330 yards with a CVA ML. He had practiced at over 350 and knew he could do it. My goodness that isa poke ! I never thought of over 125 yards with a ML. Keith said CVA...
I think some of you know Beau Baty ? I am concerned on how he is doing ? We have never met but have emailed and I feel a kinship with him. His little boy is a little character. I was surprised when he was able to count all the points on his momma's deer.
