I had a gravity filter from LifeStraw and it clogged up on me. The time it took me to take it apart, clean it, and put it all back my buddy had already filled 2 Liters with the befree. That is all I carry now...

Where do you guys draw the line for water purification? Wasn't worried as much on the plateau until I seen some old bones at the foot of some snow pack.

I was able to get one scouting trip in during the summer and was eaten alive for two days by mosquitoes looking...
Haha ya he’s a happy dog! But I was running him on a back road and I’m not sure what he seen I’m guessing a gopher… but when he ducked the barbed wire fence he nearly split his ear in half. He was bleeding like a pig but was mad at me for ending his run shortly after 😂

Montana Born, Oregon raised, Graduated from Montana Tech. Been an avid HT viewer for years just never joined. Archery elk has been my jam but recently getting more into high country mule deer with a bow and antelope with the bow.
Hey Batla new to HT also! Don't be discouraged.. the guy's that hunt SW Montana are as hard as the mountains they hike. If you come into this area with out of state plates I suggest bringing a jack and extra tires... trust me in college years ago I had Oregon plates and paid for it every year...
How did your hunt go Youngblood? I have hunted 319 for the past couple years and wanted to know your thoughts? as in hunting pressure amount of game you saw. Also did you manage to get up high if you did hunt there?
