Lever action restorations
I have my GGrandfathers 1929 Mod 94 which fed many war widows in his county during WWII. He worked in Brownwood Tx at a POW camp and drove home to Golthwaite every afternoon. If he saw a deer, he'd shoot it. Take it to his friend the Sheriff of Mills County and they'd cut it up then determine... -

Hornady Interlock Bullets?
I prefer them for deer. Accurate, consistent and 1/2 the price of premium bullets. Do the same job for less! I will say I haven't used them on Elk though. TOTALLY different game(literally) and for them I shoot Partitions out of my .280Rem.- JEB

Chrony bit the dust - time for a Labradar?
I bought mine last year and have used it roughly a dozen times. Really like it and it so easy to set up and use. I highly recommend it. I also recommend getting the rechargeable battery pack. I also have the wired magnetic trigger to attach to a rifle barrel if conditions are sketchy...- JEB

Favorite Vintage .22 Rifle, Favorite Hunting Use For it too

Whats your most accurate rifle?
Well, discounting my purpose built match rifles which are in a different league than my hunting rifles...I'd say either the .243 Win my father built in 1963 while working for an Olympic rifle building gunsmith in college. It's a 1933 Argentine mauser action mated to a Douglas premium benchrest... -

Use Enough Gun
My personal mins for Antelope would be a center fire .22cal. For Deer(whitetail or mule) is a 6mm bullet...doesn't really matter from what. For Elk it's a .277 and 140gr premium hunting bullet. Having grown up in Wyoming and living/hunting out west, Canada and Alaska...I've had the... -

What is the Oldest Rifle You Actually Hunt Big Game with ?
A few years ago I shot a nice 8 point whitetail with my GGrandfathers 30WCF made around 1936 or so. I knew I wasn't going to need to shoot more than 75 yards so it seemed like a no brainer. Dropped like it was hit with a lightning bolt at 65 yards or so. -
