How did you learn/resources for processing your own game.
I learned with my father and by trial and error. I have recently obtained the Meat Eater cookbook by Steven Rinella and he has pictures and descriptions as well for how to process everything from small game, to birds, to large game such as deer and elk. Who Processes Their Own Game
I definitely process my own. It has been a learning curve for sure but after 15 years of practice I feel like I've gotten pretty efficient. Pros? Its free and you get the cuts you want. Cons? How accurate is OnX?
I've been using OnX for a couple of years now and have found it to be accurate to with about 30 yards or so. I've even talked to some of the local wardens here in Wisconsin and most of them who have OnX themselves also use it for property boundary issues as well. So far I haven't had an issue...- Flasch89
