    Scope levels - Your experiences?

You should look into a third-axis sight (and actually set it up properly). They will eliminate some of your problems here.

    AR building for a novice.

I’m in Missoula. I build my own national match rifles for competition. Let me know if you have questions or need help putting it together. Pretty quick and easy. I also may have some extra parts laying around, depending what you’re looking for.

    Scope levels - Your experiences?

They have their place but it’s not on a hunting rifle, IMO. I like to keep my hunting rifles as basic and light as possible. Good marksmanship will get you a lot further with a hunting rifle then a scope level. Plenty of other variables you can control before needing to add a level.

    30mm vs 1-inch tubes

I run mostly 1” scopes on my hunting rifles. I don’t need the adjustment or features of my target scopes, nor do I want the extra weight.

    Threading a barrel near Helena

Shoot me a message. I can put you in contact with a friend. He does excellent work. He does work on my match rifles and he’s also a competitive F class shooter. He’s in Lolo. I come to Helena somewhat regularly. Maybe I can pick it up for you.

    Which gun coating?

My vote would be for Cerakote. I’ve used Duracoat at home. It’s ok for the money, but you get what you pay for. It doesn’t compare to Cerakote.

    Triggers

I’ve had good luck with Trigger Tech. I run them on both my hunting and match rifles.

    2009 to 2014 F150's

I have a 2012 XLT 4x4 with the 5.0. I purchased it new, it currently has 190k miles on it. At around 150k miles I had to replace the oil pressure sensor ($400 repair). Other then that, just regular maintenance. It’s been a great truck.
