No its not if by land. Only essential as of now. The US side will not allow entry by land to a nonessential Canadian traveler. Ask me how I know lol Not sure how you were able to cross by land unless you are deemed essential or have dual citizenship. A Canadian can return to Canada by land if...
Chased this guy around in Kansas with the bow a few years ago. Had one trail cam pic and saw him twice in daylight . Looked way cooler in the flesh but could never get in bow range . The extra beam made is rack look huge lol
When I used to archery hunt moose in the fall we would see several grouse ! We didn't want to waste arrows on them and they would just sit there as you approached. We found that if you hit them in the head with a rock it resulted in no lost arrows and a good meal lol Can't say it made me feel...
Congrats Gellar and all the other turkey hunters.
Last year was bust with no way to travel and this year was looking like a repeat but a good buddy and retired farmer with a bunch of land called and said that he and his wife had gotten their first shots and if I wanted I could come out and hunt...

With all the restrictions on travel I can't get to many of my usual hunt locations. I was scouting a bit and found one close that the landowner said I could hunt. So spring turkey may not be a total loss this year ! Bow only though !
That is awesome. I wish California wasn't so far away would love to hunt turkeys there once.
Hey Kansasdad just set a blind over the feeder makes it real easy lol
This wont tell for 100 percent its a Merriams but if you go to the NWTF turkey records search page and look for the birds taken in Colorado that were accepted as merriams then see if any were accepted from the county you shot it in and if yes you know the NWTF would take it as one :)
Congrats nice bird. Nothing like getting a hen into a shouting match to get that tom with her in range !
As far as being a Merriam, Rio or hybrid it can be really hard to tell just by the tail feathers color alone. As Merriam can go from a tan/buff color almost like a Rio to nearly white...
