Let’s talk about your shot process…

I found the right guy. Y’all were absolutely right. This guy got the broadheads landing right where the practice tips land. Like they should be. Now it’s just me that needs to get better. I have an elk hunt in Utah next week. Wish me luck and thanks you guys for all the advice

Dangit. You guys are surely right. That makes sense. The bow guy at Turners tuned it for me but he must have been off.

    I’m shooting Wasp Drone broadheads

Let’s talk about your shot process…

Another couple of questions. I find that just for me personally I don’t like using practice arrowheads. I have to reset every pin anyway when I switch to broadheads. Their impact spot is several inches different than practice arrowheads so it’s a waste of time to me. Y’all have that outcome...

Let’s talk about your shot process…

I don’t disagree with that. I’m going to keep practicing and see if I can reach out further but at this point I will stick to under 50 yards.

Let’s talk about your shot process…

I’m fairly new to archery, been a rifle hunter all my life. I have an archery range in my pasture and I’m getting good at 20, 30, and 40 yards with a compound bow. I don’t see me shooting at anything beyond 45 yards or so. It wouldn’t be ethical at this point. Do I just suck at archery?

Give your loved ones a hug

Sorry to hear that. Your words hit home though. You are doing right.

    Unreal.

The next problem that will make poaching easier is drones. Drone strikes like a drone with a firearm attached would be almost silent. With thermal cameras/sights it will be all to easy to down plenty of game. We’d have to catch them getting the game out

Other ideas to fill the freezer?

I still have fun just hunting pigs. Keep the little ones and fill those freezers! I am down to about one deer and one antelope left and maybe 20 halibut left in my freezers. I think it’s time for another pig for me too!

    In honor of my father

Good meaningful post. The pictures tell a great story of an adventurous life. I miss my Dad too for basically the same reasons as you. My Dad died before my son was born and my son is almost 27. I still miss Dad but you just kind of get used to missing them. I wish Dad could have got to hunt...

    Cancer fight begins

Your positive attitude goes a long way. I, like most people my age have friends and family that had the C. Those with positive attitudes do seem to fare better. One great guy, one of the best custom rifle builders and a great elk hunter got depressed when he had it. It was a different form of...

Yes, I still keep a check register

I dtill write checks every now and then but I pretty mich do banking online like 95% of us. I sure like not balancing the damn checkbook every month. I’m so OCD if I was off by a dollar it would freak me out. I’d recheck and recheck till zi figured it out. Auto pay is s relief.

What to Declare when travelling to or from Canada?

Yes probably worth it but the fact that you had to shows the system is broken. It’s a scam that needs to end. If they were doing actual inspections I could understand a little but it’s just taking money and not doing anything

What to Declare when travelling to or from Canada?

I keep a 4457 for all rifles and optics. It was needed a few times. The hardest thing is bringing back heads, even from a clean disease free country like New Zealand. It’s our system that is messed up. Elon needs to clean that up. Thousands of $ in inspection fees and storage, too many...
