You can run a nonprofit in a responsible way with proper oversight from the board and 3rd parties like an accounting firm to audit the finances annually. However, the NRA dispensed with that. The board became a joke and a cult of personality. If anyone dared to challenge Wayne, they were...
Thanks everyone for the input. I understand what people are saying about the lower magnification scopes in thicker terrain. I agree with that and I have a Zeiss 2.5-10x50 Victory on a .270. Also have an old (but still great) Swarovski 3-9x36mm on a 243. I've got the lower end coverd.
I...
I am going to buy a high-end rifle scope to put on a Springfield Waypoint 2020 rifle that I have. I would like a scope with a magnification range of somehwere around 5-25x. I intend to hunt with these scopes, I don't shoot competition rifle. I'm am considering the following scopes with an MOA...
I got my goat. 2 shots at 420 yards. My buddy I was hunting with got his at 75 yards. Good animal. Took a day and half of looking at antelopes before deciding to take the one i shot. Was a good time. The SNS Outfitters operation was good. Guide was very good.
Going on my first antelope hunt in the beginning of October. Hunting out of Casper, WY. As the title says, this is my first hunt and I am just looking for some wisdom. If any of the gear I have posted below is a bad choice based on your experience, please correct me. I'm an avid east coast...
Could not agree more. There are so many good online and brick and mortar retailers today that sell high quality American made goods. Don’t buy anything from those crooks at Cabela’s and BPS.
I will put in a plug for the Springfield 2020 Waypoint in .308. Definitely my favorite rifle. The barrel is short, uses 5 & 10 round AICS mags. It is light with a carbon fiber stock and barrel. Very accurate. Downside is that it is a little pricey.
Like many of you over the past 2 years, I have used numerous online retail outlets to find items that I need or want. I've found some really great ones likes Reeds Family Outdoors Outfitters in Minnesota. I've order a rifle from them and a few other items and if they say it is in stock, it is...
Hi all, I've got a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56mm rifle scope for sale. The reticle is the EBR-7C MRAD. Again, MRAD, it is in MILs, not MOA. $2200 and I'll pay the shipping. It comes with Leupold 34mm rings and Vortex fold down/flip up lens covers. Very nice set up. I have the box, sun...
I'm partial to the U.S. rifles but I did pick up this Steyr Mannlicher Model L in .243 Win. Got it off an auction for $1200. I love the full length stock and I've come to like the double/set trigger design.
These threads are fun because you hear about guns you've never heard of before. Problem is, my gun hit list might grow in length as I look up some of this stuff y'all post. That Sako Finnlight Carbine is really pretty.
What's on your gun hit list? What do you really want to get? I want a Springfield Waypoint 2020 in .308 and I have one on order but I'm really talking about stuff you've always wanted and can't just go order. I really want an old Colt Python. Not one of the new ones, an old one made in the...
Gents, this may be a really random question but here goes: I've got a lot of .308 Win and .270 Win brass. Along with some 300 Win Mag, 30-30, and .243 Win brass. I always keep the brass and tell myself that I'm going to start reloading but I'm BSing myself. I have 3 little kids and no time...
