AZ Unit 6a - Late Archery - First Elk Tag

Hunted late archery in 6b last season. Didn’t get an elk but had lots of opportunity just couldn’t seal the deal. Fun hunt though. If it’s still dry, sit water. If there is snow on the ground it will be very tough. You will find spikes and raghorns still with cows and bigger bulls will be holed...

That’s funny, my buddy and his dad drew the same tag this year, might be the first archery though. Good luck, should be an awesome hunt.

AZ 6b late archery elk partner needed

I’m leaving tomorrow 11/21 to drive to az for my late archery tag. Both of my buddies flaked out last minute so im rolling solo now. I have hunted deer and pig here in California but this will be my first elk hunt and first out of state hunt. Super last minute but I figured I’d throw the offer...

Thanks for the advice, last year I did apply for a limited entry deer hunt here and didn’t get drawn so I have one point now. I have came to the conclusion I’m not going to be trying to save up a ton of deer points in CA as the even the best units aren’t that great compared to other western...
