I am interested in purchasing MGM barrel 16”-18” long for a Thompson Center Encore. Prefer .243 Win with 1-8 twist, .223, 30-30. I’m putting this together for my daughters and this focused on short length and lower recoil. Thanks!
I am looking for a Thompson (TC) Pro Hunter or possibly an Encore. Ideally with the adjustable hammer in stainless. Not necessarily looking for a specific caliber but .243, 20 gauge, .223 would be preferred for my 8 and 9 year old girls. Thanks, Ryan
I had Randy build a 7mm Rem Mag for me in 2007. It is a shooter and has been my go to gun since purchased. I keep my eye open for any of his used rifles up for sale and it doesn’t happen very often. Good luck with your decision, if you have any more questions feel free to PM me. Ryan
When I was 14 We got permits and hiked in on the reservation and camped down there. The fishing and overall experience was incredible. Amazing country. Would love to do it again. Your pictures brought back some memories.
I live in eastern/coastal NC. I have some friends that have done well with guides. I have seen a few and last year considered investing some time into it. The one area that I was interested in was so thick that it was unhuntable. One day I’ll put more time into it. The guided thing isn’t...
Congrats.
This is one that I’m still working on but think we’ve been fairly successful so far.
Concur on investing in a good kid backpack. We had two and they allowed us to spend a lot of time hiking and exploring. One had a roof that could be put up and was used when the weather did not...
Wow! Before all the corona virus deal I was looking forward to taking my 5 and 7 year old back to Pa for this tradition and to fish with cousins this year. Really bummed that we weren’t going to be able to make it. I have fished a lot of places and I still have good memories of literally...
Welcome aboard! Born in Erie and raised mostly in Edinboro/Pittsburgh. Miss hunting western PA, thats where I caught the affliction. Some really great hunting/fishing.
Was supposed to bring the kids up for the first day of trout with their cousins but thanks to Corona Virus won’t be headed...
Wyoming, NM, and Utah are pretty user friendly. Colorado is the worst for a multitude of reasons. Most recent example from Colorado, last week purchased my small game and habitat stamp and it still wouldn’t let me apply for big game permits. Had to call in and order over the phone to resolve...
I’ve learned that already!! Trying not to go too deep. Don’t shoot enough outside of work to make it worthwhile from a financial standpoint. Getting into it to build one specific load for my go to rifle that can’t be bought. Once I get it figured out may branch out.
I still have my lifetime hunting and fishing license in SC. Have a ton of points for alligator tag in SC to. Haven’t hunted down there for years though.
Hello. I’ve been on here for a bit but am posting for the first time. I appreciate all the information I have learned from BigFin and members of this community.
I am passionate about hunting, fishing, adventure, and the outdoors. Originally from PA but while growing up and while in the service...
